What's the process for booking with Backspace Travel?

Shoot us an email with your preferred hotel and desired check-in and check-out dates, and we'll reply ASAP with a no-obligation quote. If you choose to move forward, we'll collect your payment information and complete the booking process on your behalf.

If you don't know exactly where you want to stay, no worries; send us as much info as you can and we'll recommend a property or two.

Is there a fee to book through Backspace Travel?

We do not charge any fees for hotel-only bookings, which are our specialty. If you would like for us to arrange flights, we charge $50 per person per round trip plus the cost of the ticket.

How do you compare to AMEX Fine Hotels and Resorts and similar programs?

We work with a larger number of hotel partners and, in many cases, our guests receive upgrade priority and additional perks (e.g. loyalty points and qualifying nights).

How do your rates compare to booking directly with the hotel?

Our rates usually match the hotel's Best Available Rate (i.e. refundable, non-promotional). We can often match promotional rates at the hotel, but perks may not apply in those case.

Will I earn loyalty points and elite night credits at chain hotels (e.g. Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton Honors, World of Hyatt properties)?

Yes! When you book with Backspace Travel, you are booking directly with the hotel through us, and you'll earn any corresponding points and elite night credits as a result.

If I have status with a loyalty program already, should I book through the hotel's program or Backspace Travel?

In many cases, booking through Backspace Travel will provide you with additional perks. For example, Marriott Bonvoy Platinum, Titanium, and Ambassador Elite breakfast benefits don't apply at EDITION and Ritz-Carlton properties, but we provide complimentary breakfast for 2 at participating EDITION and Ritz-Carlton properties through our membership in Marriott STARS.

Will Backspace Travel help with award/point redemptions?
