Villa d'Este is a historic hotel situated in Cernobbio, along the shores of Lake Como. Established in 1568, it started as the summer residence of Cardinal Tolomeo Gallio before being transformed into a luxury hotel in 1873. With a rich history spanning centuries, the hotel has become synonymous with elegance and exclusivity, attracting renowned figures such as Elizabeth Taylor, Bruce Springsteen, and Bill Gates among others. The property features 152 bedrooms and suites spread across the Cardinal Building and the Queen's Pavilion, as well as four private villas located within the estate's gardens. Guests can enjoy a range of amenities including a swimming pool, a mosaic, a fitness center, a sauna, steam room, and eight clay tennis courts. The hotel is also known for its exquisite cuisine, with a focus on local ingredients and traditional recipes, and has hosted the Concorso d'Eleganza, a prestigious classic car gathering, since 1929.
